I used glass because it is more rigid than plexi but plexi should be ok. Use at least 3mm thick.

    Specialist films - yes :)

macroman, do you have any leftovers?
Since I'm in a country without stores :cries: i can't get those films anywhere.
Could you send me by mail a sheet of silver film and a sheet of that 3D film?
    I would really appriciate it.

Wow that looks GREAT! I am definitly going to try to make that.

You already answered my question too :)
I will be using Acrylic instead of the glass.

Thanks! :) Keep up the great work!

That is really, really sweet. Could you use a bunch of glowire and something to diffuse it to make a more uniform glow?

    Nice. Very nice.

Question: How does the thickness of the pad work out for use?
6mm for the glass/acrylic and probably a couple more for the other stuff.
I'm guessing under 10mm, but still seems a little high?

    Sweeeet

What are the odds, i'm in the middle of doing my own home made mouse pad too.

Pretty much the same idea but sandwiching a peice of aluminum in the middle instead of a picture. Oh, and im also using plexi instead of glass (glass and i have an ongoing feud with each other, dont ask :D ).

Anyway, stunning mod as usual plus i think the red LED's looks good with that picture.
