I can, and you may not be able to accomplish what you're trying to do without a vaccuforming table. Hot acrylic is the consistancy of taffy (toffee) and isn't going to fill holes easily.
You may however be able to coax it to conform a little bit with leather gloves or some metal tongs.

It makes sense now why you cut those long lines down the framing of your hole on your panel, so they can bend out. Nice job.

looking good, I like the a/c vent idea, very nice touch.

One question though. Have you tried those UV led's to see if they make UV reactive things react?

I have a few UV led's in my case, and some UV ccfl's. The led's dont actually give off UV light, just purple light. The only thing that makes the UV things react is the ccfl's.

This is a UV reactive fan with 4 'UV' led's in it. They light it up purple, but its a blue fan, and the tubes that have a slight purple glow to them, blue too.

This is the same fan when I switch on my ccfl's. The tubes and fan actually react and glow, not just reflect light.

Its not that they are cheap led's either, they are these ones. (clicky linky)

sorry, not meaning to hijack the thread, the purple light is nice, but if you want blacklight and UV reactive glow then stick with ccfl's imo.

that's BRIGHT for UV LEDs. The ones I'm looking at are ~500mcd. Where'd you get them? And are they really UV or are they more purpley (the LSDiodes ones say 395nm wavelength so we're in the same range anyways). Of course I'm looking for more just blacklight effect and not color at all and let the UV stuff take care of that.

actually... care to send a few dozen my way? :hip: :thumb: :naughty:

look at the fan in the pics above!!

Does it look like those 'UV' led's are making it react and light up?!

NO!! but they aren't the same specs, all I was saying was that SOME claimed UV led's are actually not UV, just purple! :miffed:
