That looks very cool. Couple questions- 1st: what is the retail name of that vinyl stuff you used to mask the windows (anyone can answer this if they know), and 2nd: care to explain your process on those grills? They are superb.
ABSOLUTELY OUSTANDING WORK!!! Even if you put a TRS80 inside, this case would still rock! At first, I thought, "Oh no. Another case with mismatched pieces inside displaying all the ugliness through the clear acrylic." After seeing your incredible talent with the artwork, I subscribed before going on to the next pages. Can't wait to see more!!!
The answer to number 1 is: Avery Paintmask. Product Number A1828-S. It is available at Regal Plastics, Reece supply and probably other suppliers online. The Answer to number 2 is: I had brandon draw out a teddy head on a piece of paper. Then I scanned it, Traced it in corel, Created the grills, and exported it as an vector file to my Engraving table. Then I cut it out of 1/16" black acrlyic. here is a pic of me cutting out some old grills. http://www.austinpcmods.com/images/pics/utMod/making the grills (1).jpg The right tools are everything.
anyways a small update: Well, I installed 2 Blue Meteorlights on the top, 2 White CCFL's behind the MB side art, A red Thunder CCFL in the center bottom, 4 Red LED case feet, 2 Red LED pads around the Bear in the window, and 2 more on either side of the MB side case art. I then hooked up everything except the lighted feet and the Meteor lights to the Lightbus. This is all without any hardware yet which will be installed on monday when Brandon brings his computer into work. This is with all the lighting on and turned up all the way. The Lightbus has a dimmer on it along with a ton of other features. So I can make each light as bright or Dim as I so desire. Here is a series of pics showing the dimming of the MB side art. I need to do a little tweaking to disperse the white light a little better. I have some ideas for that but I will wait for when I have all the hardware in. The LightBus has up to 627 effects on it according to the box. Its really quite insane. I am doing a review of it and will have it posted on the CaseModGod main site shortly. so stay tuned for that. I took a short video of it with the 2 presets on. Its madness but check it out if you want. The file is a 1mb ziped file. http://www.austinpcmods.com/images/pics/Mustkillteddybears/madnesslow.zip
