World of warcraft is an obvious choice for quick loading times. Crysis is a surprise as well actually. My system took no time at all. Far Cry was horrible, but the reload times were much better. The worse one I have played recently actually is episode 2. Some times it just seemed like a bit too long for my liking.

I'm not even going to go into console games.

The worst ones I had were in Far Cry also - especially when Ubi had that free thing going on. I got two hard drives with the game on a Raid 0 partition (through the chipset, not a true raid card) and it took FOREVER to load. Brothers in Arms was pretty bad, too.

On the other hand, oblivion is SO fast! Love it!

The Original Driver on PS1 is the worst for Loading times that I have expereinced. The demo was as bad becuase you play a tiny segment and it starts loading and it put me off from buying the game and I didnt buy or play a Driver game until driver 3 on Xbox.

I have been playing HL2 on 360 from the orange box and the loading is annoying me on that too. The segmants between loading are so short, you start to get into the game and then you hit a loading screen that does take a while and I just start to loose interest.

In the good old days with tape, floppy disc, loading times were a real pain until we got to the consoles with cartridges. They eliminated loading times completely. Then we wend to CD and the loading times came back and are getting worse the bigger games get.

I wonder when we will be back to cartridges with flash media getting cheaper.

Worst game ever bar none for terrible load times was Sin (the original).

Half-life games have always put them in irritating places which interrupt the flow of play, but the best imo was always Diablo/most MMO's considering the size of map for the relatively low load times.

My current pet hate is driving games which if you choose to restart the race reload the entire map all over again (I'm looking at you Forza2)

I've forgiven all modern games from my experiences with commodore 64s loading from tape.

Xenosaga Episode II. There's an exercise in frustration. At least they fixed it in Ep. III and everything loads smooth as butter.

personally i hate bf1942 loading times, especillally when i have just installed new video drivers.

the loading seems to take 5+ minutes as it has to adjust the shaders.
this is with 2gig of ram.

if setting don't change then its normally not too bad

I'm not into consoles much, but when someone says "Loading times" I instinctively say "nintendo", because their systems (esp. the gamecube) are notorious for having no loading screens whatsoever beyond the title screen. I don't know how they do it (anyone got a clue?) but it's ace.

Unreal 2 (ugh) was the wost for loading times. I don't know how or why, cos UT2k3 and 4 were fast as greased somethingsomething, but it took an AGE to load.

As i remember LOK: Soul Reaver had no loading screens, perfectly seamless integration between levels and areas.

I bet anyone who grew up on games that were loaded via tape deck are having a good old chuckle. I know I am.:D You haven't experienced slow loading times until you've come across games that took longer to load than complete (yes there have been a few).

The really bad one was either Devastation (really crap game too), or Company Of Heroes - that always takes forever to load for me.

Oh the memories. Those were the days, when I had a C64 and the load times were that long you could go out for a Piza and still be sat waiting. I remeber a few months before the christmas me and my brothers got it. We would get home from school to find the door locked and banging on the door wondering where our mum went. Before you start thinking she must be with the postman, she actualy playing Ghost Busters 2 on the C64 all this time before christmas.

It's restarts that take ages that annoy me, for some reason in Burnout revenge on Xbox 360, if i manage to stupidly crash near the start, and click restart, I have to wait 2 minutes or whatever to restart it =/
Dirt is practically instant! (Although long load times into the races themselves)

Apparently it takes 6 minutes to get to in game action/control on Smackdown 06 from booting the game on PSP.
Handheld loading times = big no no for me.

Even lemmings on PSP had annoying loading times FFS!

nah... unreal 2 was worse... not necessarly with longer loading times, but with loading all the time....

loading times... well, i dont like them, just like the jacked up prices for games as of lately, but well, i guess theres not much one can do about it
