good and bad point about allofmp3 good = they took money out of the mouth of super rich huge music labels/companies that pay paltry royalties to the smaller bands bad = they took money out of the poorer bands and independant labels/companies who need this money the most
Boohiss. This is just another reason to hate the record industry I suppose. AllOfMp3 showed the world what consumers wanted. Pay by the MB, pay not very much, and be able to choose whatever encoding technique and quality you want (pretty much). The record industry has had a progressive forward thinking operation shut down, when eventually - if they want to survive that is - they'll have to enact exactly the same services if not even more consumer-friendly ones. I'll miss AllOfMP3, but I certainly won't be replacing it with HMV.
