My 4890 is starting to show it's age and I'm looking for an upgrade under £200. Going by Custom PC/Bit-techs review, is there anything better than the GTX 560 Ti TWIN FROZR II for under £200? Regards
it depends on your budet really and if your happy with ati or want nvidia - as mentioned the 6950 is about the same and the 6970 is better but if you want nvidia, what about the 570?
Simple answer is no, 560ti's are brilliant card's, as good as a 570 when overclocked (although obviously you could overclock a 570 to get 580 performance) also (assuming your in the uk) it seems to be very hard to get hold of any ati/amd card above the 6870, hence the 560ti is a very good and pretty much your only choice right now
In case you haven't ordered yet, the Twin Frozr III version of the 560Ti just popped up on Scan. Only £10 more (so £190)
560Ti Hawk Temps on HardOCP Direct CU Temps on HardOCP Tried to find a website that had reviewed both so I don't know how good this website is. Direct CU Temps on Hexus 560Ti Frozr II Temps on Hexus Hexus is the website Scan link to on their product pages, couldn't find a Hawk review but I think the twin frozr III is supposed to be better than the II; of course the Hawk will be running a bit hotter due to the extra overclock.
