Just received Strix X670E-A motherboard. Just had a quick look at it, looks lovely. Looked at CPU and pins look like this... I know its stupid, but is this how they should look? I've never really taken notice as i've not had newer boards like this with pins... and i've heard all the horror stories of bent pins on mobos. Apologies for terrible images, I am sheet at taking pictures. All one side look tilted, other side different. I'm being dumb aren't I? Please? Worry not, they're all fine None of them should sit vertically because of how the LGA system works. They're all uniform (on their respective sides) as well so you're good to go!
Yeah bent pins normally stand out from their neighbours visually - these look fine. Can be straightened out if you're very careful and gentle - best to keep the socket cover on until the CPU is installed (and install the CPU early). Don't want to drop anything in the socket!
The pins in the socket over will have sections going in different directions to try and keep uniform pressure across the CPU. As long as they all look straight relative to each other they're good. Bent pin would look proper out of place and they all look fine
