My friend Richard Nagy (aka Datamancer) just unveiled his new art deco-influenced keyboard. Datamancer's Art Deco Keyboard Datamancer in mostly known for his Steampunk creations. Many of you might recognize a few of them. My favorite has been his scanner mod that looks like a Myst link book.
How did you find that! It's not on Brass Goggles or Datamancers home page. Just excellent although there's probably only a handful of us here that would acknowledge a steampunk habit or have even heard Abney Park. Thank you, Ancient Tinkerer
Insider knowledge. Never a bad thing. Built or designed the end caps did you? They have yor touch. john
Advised is a word I'm comfortable with here. He's got too much talent to need anything else. "You know the path Grasshopper."
Yeah my old keyboard still works but took a lot of Stepmania-related damage around the arrow keys. I may try modding it just for the hell of it.
Bah...put some wear and tear on it and then smugly call it "patina". That keyboard might even be cooler if it looked like it had been used for the last 70-some years. There is a whole art behind adding patina to new things. Green brass/copper, rust, dents, stains. Some of it is pretty amazing. I just can't bring myself around to doing intentional damage.
