Thats a nice thing to do.
To be totaly honest, I'd be far happier if they made a decent support system and mobo's that worked.
followed the link to website, horrible music and tacky looking laptops. Honestly what a complete joke. And really, is the red brand thing making any difference in the World? No, I don't think so, just another way of raising product awareness, getting free marketing, and making yourself look back-slappy cool in the process.
Got to say I agree there... but it's something that can be levelled at pretty much every manufacturer at one time or another...
As for unique. OK. Great. Do you get better service and support with that? What if you break it or it gets stolen?
*is having flashbacks to Terry Goodkind's 'Sword of Truth' series...*
I don't know about the support, but I'd imagine that, if it got stolen, the fact that it's the only red leather S6 in the world would make it a hell of a lot easier to trace.
Thats another nice story i think, its nice to see a company as big as Asus doing such event, wonder if MS or Dell will follow suit.
I think that Microsoft doesn't give money away usually, as Bill Gates has his own foundation which gives many millions of dollars to many places.

Item number: 230111577161
Item number: 230111666139

the latter is currently on £1020. (9d 2h to go)
That's assuming you see the person who stole your laptop again, ever, and they're using it at the time you see them. Plus, what are you gonna do, walk up to them and yell "I HAVE THE ONLY RED LAPTOP IN THE WORLD! THAT'S MINE!"
Anyway, the whole thing just reminds me of
Just a big publicity streak trying to show that they, too, really care about taking care of the badness in the world.
