Looks amazing, gave BF5 a miss but i think i might be coming back. Shame my 970 will struggle and I cant afford a current gpu
Hey look, a pre-rendered cinematic trailer, how informative. As with any major EA release, I'll be waiting for release and the inevitable storm of bugs and server fallovers, then to see what kind of microtransaction horse sh*t gets crammed in once the review period is over. At least this time they're trying to pretend to be Call of Duty again instead of Fortnite. Being less cynical I hope it's good, I really hope it moves back towards Conquest and Rush, with less RNG applied to wepaons and kits (live in hope) and more emphasis on map design. We'll see.
I think it will be good. Just forget about any microtransaction bs, get a tank and have some fun. Got BF4 on the cheap not long ago and had immense fun blowing stuff up. Can't wait to get some sweet tuk tuk action
Watched that trailer like 5 times. Pre ordered ultimate. hate me if you want lol. I only buy one full price game a year. Cannot wait, nott been on BF since BF4. Hope i can upgrade my GPU before release tho :/
To be honest, unless they refresh the gameplay (which I can't really see them having done) I'm only marginally excited for this. In my mind its just BF4 with better graphics and movement plus some new maps, which is nice, but nothing I've not played many times before. Most people don't realise, 128 players doesn't make any difference because you never actually see more than a few at any one time. I suppose the beginning of games with everyone rolling out together might be pretty epic! Anyway, I'll defo buy it, but I'm not on the hype train, I'm on the commuter train.
Steam or Origin? am I right in thinking you will need an Origin account anyway? and if so, it would make sense to buy from there! *Good god it is expensive for the top tier versions of the game An extra £20 from base game if you want 1 week early access to the game before release!
You will need Origin as well. What Steam has going for it is EA have regular discounts on Steam, but they very rarely have them on Origin. So if you don't mind having to register on Origin, then buy all your EA games on Steam. No-brainer really.
This game might be the first game in a long while that my son and I put in real time playing together. He is now 20 and on his own now so we don't game much together other than EA NHL games and that is limited by my lack of skill. Honestly looks like this game could be fun in that it brings back all the games in the past we loved and allows people to create maps to play in that include the best from various games. It may end up being a mess due to that with things just not looking right put together but it could be good fun anyway.
FYI: Battlefield 2042 won’t make its intended release date. Developer DICE announced Wednesday that the game has been delayed until Nov. 19, nearly a month after its originally planned release date of Oct. 22.
Open beta coming 8-9th October. Also specs: Looks like it's a 8-core game. 3600 used to be faster than 2700x in most games, only slower for very multi-threaded workload. Also, 3060 recommended!
