Im sure others with more time (and motivation) will address the rest, but…. No, he didn’t.

455 miles (which is nitpicky, I'll admit), of which only 49 miles had no barrier in place before. So, he filled in 49 miles of the border. With a badly-built mish-mash which had been breached more than 3,000 times before he'd even left office.

And that's an achievement, is it?

Oh, and while Biden did, indeed, cancel some of the planned wall-building (and given the above, seemingly for good reason), his administration also announced four new wall-building projects to fill frequently-used smuggling corridors.

I'm not going to sit and pick apart the rest, 'cos honestly that's how I lose big chunks of my day - massive quote-replies - but... yeah. The facts ain't on your side, there.

It looks wonderful, pity most is off the back of trump achievements, bar the crazy un-conservative infra spending.
It's obvious to the common sense person that this is a political witch hunt. I believe Obama and Hillary campaigns were fined in similar circumstances.

Wasn't the Hillary campaign paid for steele dossier all fake... https://www.cnn.com/2022/03/30/politics/clinton-dnc-steele-dossier-fusion-gps/index.html

Yes, yes it was. I mean they're throwing everything at Trump to see what sticks at this point.

No. No, it is not. It's pretty clear to anyone with common sense, who has spent more than five minutes reading about the case, that there appears to have been a crime committed. Multiple, in fact.

And that's before he gets arrested again for his mishandling (at best) of classified documentation.
If you see no difference between using campaign funds on opposition research and using them to literally pay off a prostitute you hired who was threatening to go public then claim said funds were used for "legal fees," then I guess we're done here.

By-the-by, I've no love for Clinton either.
Trump claimed building the border wall would cost $8bn, one-off. His administration's internal estimates had it at up to $25 billion; the Department of Homeland Security predicted $21.6 billion over three and a half years.

He wanted to spend $3 billion on black paint for it.

    Crazy infra spending indeed.

So they fought trump all the way to the supreme court to stop the wall being built and vowed never to build a wall (https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-56031481), until now they're building the 'inhumane' wall again. Can't make this stuff up can you.

I'm confused, do you want a wall or don't you? 'cos if it's Trump's wall, it seems to be a good thing - but if it's Biden's wall, it's a bad thing?

Also, I can't quite see there where Biden said he'd never build a wall. There's a quote from Arizona Democratic Congressman Raúl Grijalva saying that they must "ensure that not another foot of the border wall is constructed," but last I checked the president's surname was Biden, not Grijalva.

Got anything showing Biden said he'd never build a wall ever again?

Didn't he originally say it was free as Mexico would pay for it.

    Why yes. Yes, he did.

By the time he'd left office, it'd cost $15 billion. Again, for 49 miles of additional coverage. Which could be, and was frequently, easily breached.

    Achievement!

I'd guess Biden is to follow for his garage and Hillary for the basement email server then right. If they really do this, there is legal precedent.

Well he's no De'santis, but this is America, not the UK so not really. Both sides have paid people off and they've a history of doing it.

I'd guess legal fees ran a good amount with the fierce opposition dems put up. All in all, he added about that amount to the US debt (https://www.thebalancemoney.com/us-debt-by-president-by-dollar-and-percent-3306296) so was about right.

I think most Americans want a secure border, but it's just the double standards of the democrat party. If Trump is building it they don't want it, but if Democrats are building it, where is all the outrage???

Here's it is from your favorite fake news https://www.cnn.com/2020/12/05/politics/biden-border-wall/index.html

There already is legal precedent, like I said: Trump is the second US President to have been arrested on suspicion of a crime. President Ulysses S. Grant has him beaten, having been arrested back in 1872 while still the sitting president - for, admittedly, the lesser crime of having been naughtily racing his buggy down M Street.

He was fined and made to walk back to the White House on foot, if you're curious.

Also: yes, please. I would indeed like every politician suspected of literal crimes to be investigated, arrested if there's a likelihood they're guilty, tried, and punished fairly if guilty. That would be wonderful.
The $21-25 billion estimates included no legal fees whatsoever.

Now, I'm well aware you live in a country where the ruling party likes to pretend everyone is in absolute lockstep... but do you know why politicians vote on bills in a democracy? It's because not every member of a given political party agrees with every other member. It'd be a lot easier if you could just have one guy say "yeah, the Republicans/Democrats agree with this bill, let's pass it" and be done... but you can't. Some of 'em agree, some of 'em don't. Some of 'em don't, but can be convinced to agree. Some of 'em can be threatened to agree (see: three-line whips in the UK). Some of 'em, allegedly, can be bribed to agree. Some it doesn't matter if they agree or not, as long as the numbers are on your side.
Final warning: cool the rhetoric. "Fake news" was literally how the National Socialist Party dismissed inconvenient facts. Except, y'know, they said it in German.

    EDIT:
But yes, Biden did indeed say "there will not be another foot of wall constructed on my administration," fielding a question from an NPR journalist (not CNN) at a meeting of the National Association of Black Journalists and National Association of Hispanic Journalists in August 2020.

Clearly that was either a lie or he changed his mind during the intervening two-and- a-bit years. A politician being a hypocrite, who'd have thunk it?

    While we’re on the subject…

Yes, Biden should be thoroughly investigated over the mishandling of classified documents, and if there is evidence of criminal activity he should be subject to legal proceedings and an appropriate sentence handed down if found guilty.

But there is a big difference between “mishandling classified documents in error and then rectifying the mistake” and “knowingly taking and concealing classified documents and then actively blocking investigations and further attempting to conceal and cover up”.

You willfully ignore the fact that there was no weaponisation of the justice department and a DA who ran on targeting Trump (https://www.cnn.com/2021/12/20/politics/bragg-new-york-trump/index.html) Not an apples to apples is it.

Grossly overestimated then, probably with opposition intent. Trump added 8 Billion to the national debt, far and away below those estimates for only a wall.

What has the country I'm currently resident in got anything to do with America. Having been born and participated in a democracy, I'm well versed and educated on the subject thank you. Greed knows no bounds, it's a human trait perpetuated universally (Niebuhr).

Sorry, I thought it was commonly referred as on the internet.

Biden can do no wrong in the eyes of his beloved and FBI (cough hunter, cough laptop).

Needless to say, the superpowers die from within. China will rise with the shifting power

It's worse than that, he wasn't even president and had no authority. Trump had some authority as president and it's that said authority which is disputed.

No, he didn’t. He did not have authority to take classified documents offsite and store them in an insecure personal facility. And documents cannot simply be declassified because a president says so, there are processes for declassifying records and so far there is zero evidence of any kind of process having been followed.

We're talking about Biden right? Didn't he do exactly the same and he wasn't even President. Oh wait, he had a moment forgot and left them insecurely in a garage, sorry.

    There is none now.
The higher of the two estimates was literally from Trump's own administration. Are you saying Trump's administration was in opposition to the plan?
This is a discredited conspiracy theory. Go elsewhere with that, it's not welcome here.

Facts are welcome. Any more "fake news" will be met with a ban. Think of me like the Chinese Communist Party and conspiracy theories like Tiananmen Square, if it helps.

Time will tell. In my opinion a new precedence is being set.

It was from your own reply of 8 Billion.

I welcome facts too. Will screenshot this comment for future reference for when something has actualised.

You want to take another run at that, buddy? I said:
Trump said $8bn, which was a lie - and he knew that because his own staff said it'd cost $25bn. Not anyone in opposition, his own staff.

We can't have a discussion on this if you're not going to read what's written.

    This is a false equivalence.

Yes, classified documents were included in records ex vice president Biden brought home when he left office. However when those classified documents were discovered by his lawyers, they immediately contacted the relevant records agency at Biden’s instruction. Biden also then voluntarily consented to further searches of his premises.

Trump, on the other hand, (allegedly) knowingly took classified documents, refused to return classified documents when requested by the relevant agency, lied about having classified documents, claimed that they were actually declassified because a president can declassify what he wants (he can’t), actively blocked investigations, and eventually had his Mar a Lago premises raided in order to recover the classified documents he had held on to. To make it even worse, some of the materials recovered included document wallets market classified which were empty - the documents they contained were not found.

The two situations are not the same.
