First time having a little go at characters, i realize that not all the normals in this model are correct. WIP!
Long time no speak, I've been working on another interior, but I've got BIG problem... Been away from my PC for a few days - came back today to carry on modelling more furniture and editing some materials etc, took a few test renders and everything was going perfectly. I went to do a larger render, around 960x540, bumped up the shadow/reflection precision and the FG... As the FG completed and went into rendering, the render froze and 3ds max shut down! An error message popped up saying; "Unhandled Exception" and these were the files 'involved' - acmindump.dmp dmpuserinfo.xml dumpdata.zip I re-opened the scene, thinking I had pressed something I shouldnt have and the same thing happened again... I then went back to some previous versions of the scene, with lower render settings and simpler models and the same error came up?!!?! Very annoying! Have any of you experienced this before? I'm running 3ds max 2010 64-bit and using the mentalray that came with it I've searched for this problem on google and I haven't found any solutions, apart from re-installing 3ds which hasn't been proved to remove the problem On another note, renders look amazing and cronic your renders are amazing!
tried to make a better version... Three piece eye yet i think i left the specular layer far too close to the interior of the eye...
cronic, I think you're suffering from a case of too detailed too soon, go back to basics and make some simple human shapes in proportion first, then focus on adding details! You definately have the knowledge in the software to be able to model organic models!
Whats the diameter of the fans on the front and back? Just curious as compared to the intel stock cooler... Pretty cool, almost like making a mini itx look wacked out like a larger case ... 22.7 mm diameter fans by any chance?
