May the tracing point jokes intensify!

Maybe try copying out the rule book rather than other teams designs....

Apparently a rule change for 2020 to design your own brake ducts whilst it wasnt for 2019. Theyre lucky not to be hit for every gp so far.

Dropping 5 ponts behind renault, a fine and allowed to continue using the design. Feels a light punishment IMO

On a related note, Hulkenberg is going faster than Stroll in FP1. I wonder how many bolts will get over torqued in his car this weekend.

'We don’t want [copying faster cars] to become the norm of Formula 1'

RP, AlphaTauri, Haas and Alfa: Well... ****...

What you mean you don't want equal cars where there might actually be some actual racing and actually show a driver's talent rather than just having a better car . I still think Lewis would win but he'd have to work harder for it

I don't see a problem with 'copying' another teams ideas, its happened since the start of F1 (and mankind). However, we don't want it to be "here's the CAD file just change the name on the file and pretend you did it" either otherwise we will just get clone teams who are always slower than who ever flogged them last years design.

Compare it to the other recent "cheating" ruling:

Ferrari: Zero points docked + confidential settlement.
Force Stroll: Points docked + publicly humiliated + fined + future rules changed.

The possibility of Ferrari leaving the sport, if they don't get their own way, scares the F1 organisation and the FIA witless.

Ferrari cheating is the closest thing Merc has came to having competition in the hybrid era

I get the impression the FIA dont care about the current rules as this season was almost turned into an experimental season and next season only happening because the new rules got postponed.

They were humiliated the day they signed Stroll, some would argue the day they painted the car pink or called the team Racing Point

Bit rich of Ferrari calling for tougher penalties given the **** they've got away with over the years but whatever...

Absolutely, I was just saying that allowed before I read what you typed.

Open up your hidden penalty from last year and then you can call for tougher penalties.

P3 in Qualy... no doubt the wheels will fall off as hulk heads to the grid tomorrow.

    Also -

    Gap between 2nd and 3rd - 0.865s
    Gap between 3rd and 10th - 0.696s

    On a more humorous note:
Vettel managed to be miles behind Leclerc for the 2nd weekend in a row in every single session.

I imagine some very uncomfortable phone calls happening between Abiteboul and Budkowski with the Renault board.

I wouldnt of predicted Hulkenberg ahead of Verstappen as I would have thought the red bull the 2nd best car by enough of a margin. I am starting to wonder tho Is Verstappen outperforming the car or is Albon that far off the pace? I know the car can be a bit problematic atm.

Alfa Romeo now the worse car on the grid anyone?
