Oh well, I expect to see him in a Hypercar some time soon.

I look forward to [most likely] Lawson crashing and burning in that second seat followed by a not-unrealisitc demotion back to VCARB in the summer.

Quote marks added for accuracy. The only time those two were alongside one another this season was when Max was lapping Checo.

It does seem like a poisoned chalice to be in the RB second seat... The only hope is to stick it out long enough that Max gets bored and sulks off into the sunset

assuming helmut the helmet allows you to stick around that long...

I don't think I'll be the only one surprised if Lawson is still in the seat at the end of the season. With Hadjar or Colapinto taking his place [bc Helmut essentially hates Yuki meaning Taki Inoue has a better shot at the RB seat than Tsunoda]

The fact that at this point nearly half the grid isn't good enough for that seat makes me wonder what Red Bull are expecting.

Yes Verstappen is a one in a generational talent
Yes Perez didn't perform and by the end looked like Stroll in disguise

At what point does the design team and Newey have to take some blame for designing a car that only one maybe two drivers in the world can get anything from?
