well, i stole the old IDE drive from an old PC, and managed to get properly Booted, and all. Windows will get done on the SATA dive in due corse...
First of all great mod Mankz_91, liking it! How have you got the fans on the rad set up too? (flow through rad-suck out) I like the new NB Heatsink, did you have a fan before? (might do mine)
ive got them bolted on with various length bolts.... Yeah, my Asus's fan was small and whiney, and i reccon that the £4 i paid for the pasive one was deffo. worth it. However, you might need to cut off one or two of the fins, or bend some of them if you have a water-block or a big GPU cooler.
little Update. By stealing a 1Kw PCP&C off someone for an hour, i've managed to get windows booted. After phoneing Hiper, they are gonna swap the two PSU's over next week, so then it should all be fine. All thats left to do is the front panel. That needs painting and a little bit of sanding... but now on with pics... (all of these CCFL's are now stuck in properly) and i've got this to go on the front...::
Log time no speak. Due to certain time constraints, I HAVE to finish this by the 28th of May. Today I've repainted the front panels, sanded everything down again, ready for a final Instal tommorow. Then, I've got to rewire the entire thing and then finally, try and win a design prize. pweh.
New Front Panel Thats what we started with Yesterday afternoon... And now All re-srayed in Satin Black with a custom Black Acrylic panel covering the 3.5" holes with 2 switches for CCFL's and a Bulgin Vandal switch... You can see an imperfection on the right above the locking hole. In real-life its dead flat and you cannot see it.. Nice Custom PC sticker on the outside... and same on the inside! Now I've gotta put the front back on ect. (sorry for image quality, had to rush as I've gotta do some revision for GCSE's...) EDIT :: Pics fixed
Lookin good mankz, Give that block a polish it looks nasty, also why did you have to have it done by may 28th ? (Which you obviously didn't )
Yummy! That last pic is particularly sweet. I like how you cant see the mobo details. ...But when was Vista considered an upgrade?
