From what belarc advisor tell me I have a "lite-on cd-rw sohr-5239v (cd-rom drive)". I assume I can NOT write to a dvd-rw with my drive? Is this correct? Can someone verify this for me please? thx
No,I'm afraid not, CD-RW's only. Well. CD-R and CD+R as well as CD-RW and CD+RW. But no DVD based recorable media.
This is the list of things you can do with your drive: - Read CD's - Write on CD's - Re-Write on supported CD's You CANNOT: - Play DVD's - Write DVD's - Re-write DVD's on supported DVD's - Play Blu-ray disk - Write Blu-ray disk - Re-write Blu-ray disk on supported Blu-ray disks Same applies for HDDVD, DVD-ROM, Tapes, floppies, and any other media. Clear enough? 1 answer is all that was needed. If the answer is wrong, then more post will show.
I'm trying NOT to read this in an aggressive tone but it's hard. One answer was all that was needed, and he was correct first time.
If a doctor told you that you had cancer, would you only go with their decision or would you go get another opinion? My guess is you would get more than 1!!
Ok, now I feel offended. No, see human condition is NOT computers. A human and nature is kinda super hyper complex, to a point that even the best doctors doesn't REALLY know at 100%. That is why their is specialists and even then. This is the situation: If you show us an apple, and we told you it's apple, would go "Yea, right! You lie! Anyone, else?", then what can I tell you. And if you are too lazy to even READ what you just told us, you would know yourself. Ok, even thus you don't get it, you can SEARCH the internet, of even the company of your drive for your answer. Conversation is now over!
Why don't you shut up and go away. Don't let your ego get the better of you and equate a serious topic like cancer to a question about an optical drive.
Crazed Modda gave you the answer, if you wanted another answer you should have used this, or waited. Oh my. Bindibadgi said that you didn't need another answer, no need to get so ratty. +1 Edit: just noticed the ban, good call.
