Ah, comedy England. Unfortunately, every time a World Cup rolls around, the entire nation seems to forget how miserably we failed only 4 years ago (or even just 2 years ago in the Euro champs), and think we have a chance of winning so go on a flag-buying face-paint-wearing frenzy. The only reason I watch the World Cup any more is to guess which round we will go out in, and to who will cock up the most spectacularly. The goalkeeper is always a good bet
The bbc was streaming this afternoon's game on their website, not sure about tonights as it was on ITV.
I hate football. Just thought I'd contribute to the thread I also hate this whole "Eng-errr-land" thing. England has 2 syllables. Thank you.
Everyone seems to have forgotten that tournament favorites Spain were beaten by the USA last year in the confederations cup. They're a team that can be highly motivated and that are very physical, even if they're short on skill. Capello will keep the faith with Green, who had huge nerve to face the press after the game. Mistakes happen and I'm glad we've hopefully gotten our howler out of the way in the first game, rather than a Seaman-esque error in the quarter finals.
