    ASUS P8P67 Pro Intel P67 (REV B3) Socket 1155 DDR3 PCI-Express Motherboard £139.99

    Intel Core i7-2600K 3.40GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor £227.99

    XFX ATI Radeon 6950 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card x 2 £409.98

    G.Skill RipJawsX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit £79.99

    XFX 850W Black Edition Modular Power Supply £118.99

    BeQuiet Dark Rock Advanced CPU Cooler £39.99

    1TB Samsung HD103SJ SpinPoint F3 SATA-II 3.5" Hard Drive £39.99

    Pioneer DVR-S19LBK 24x Internal DVD±R/RW SATA Drive £16.99

    Sharkoon Silent Eagle 800 140mm Fan x 2 £26.52

    Sharkoon Silent Eagle 1000 120mm £10.99

    Fractal Design Define XL Full Tower Chassis - Black Pearl £89.99

    23" Dell UltraSharp U2311H Widescreen IPS Monitor £219.95

    Total= £1448.62 (including shipping)

    This is a completely new build for me and I've looked at reviews for nearly all the parts I could find to make sure they had a good write up, but now I'm turning to the trusty forums for your thoughts.

    For example I opted for the 2600k because of HT (rumours it overclocks better too) and for 2 6950s as they outperform a gtx 580 by roughly 25% for around the same price.

    Main uses; gaming, film editing (bit of audio) and well pretty much everything else a pc does.

    So, thoughts...?

    2* 6950's are pretty much the definition of overkill for a 23" monitor. Get a GTX 570 instead, and spend the money saved on a SSD. At that budget, a SSD is a must. I recently went the SSD route myself and i must say i am impressed. Everything is so much snappier.

    A GTX 560 is a great compliment to a 23" screen, but a GTX 570 will provide a little over-provision, which i'm guessing you're a fan of. Failing that, a single 6970 is a good alternative. Or if you're feeling lucky, a single 6950 and unlock it to a 6970.

    Other than that, looks like a very good build.

    Nice build. Personally id drop the 2x6950s and go for either one 6950 or the GTX560. Also have you considered an SSD?

    I'd say drop the 2x GPU, get 1, and get a better motherboard, one with a complete instruction manual, and good after sale service... (and better build quality) like Gigabyte for a few dollars more, and get an SSD, or if you listen to a lot of music, a nice pair of 2.1 speakers with a dedicated sound card to take advantage of them, and enjoy rich, and crystal clear sound.

    Motherboard suggestion:
    -> Gigabyte P67A-UD4-B3 (http://gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3759#ov)
    -> Gigabyte P67A-UD5-B3 (http://gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3762#ov)

    Sound card:
    -> ASUS Xonar D1

    Also you can get a better PSU for the same price (well I don't know in the U.K)
    You can get the Corsair AX750 - 750W 80Plus Gold certified. Super quiet, FULL modular, cool operation... so cool due to it's high efficiency rate, that the PSU fan only kicks in when your computer is under load.
