News Crysis 2 delayed on all platforms

You've probably hit the nail on the head there. I read on some of the developer material that they (the devs) were pulling in overtime +100. Quality will suffer if they throw something out for a deadline thats too optimistic. Shame though

 

It will give the cyber luddites time to get rid of those ancient Dual-core 2.6Ghz rockhammers they are running as CPUs and those 8800gtxs they think "Can run this game at medium, ok, sorta"

 

So given Crytek's track record it will be a landmark FPS that I will remember fondly for years to come despite a clumsy story? Cool! Can't wait!

 

If you automatically dismiss any game that also has a console version I think you're going to need to find a new hobby. I think PCs are better than consoles too, but I'm open minded that a game can be good on several platforms. Give them a chance.

 

i remember seeing the release date and thinking it was very ambitious, the game will probably be better for this but yeah im disappointed.

 

Awh, I was looking forward to that. Hopefully this will be for the better.

 

i hope it is being designed as a pc game first and foremost. although the chances of that actually happening are roughly on par to ea releasing free dlc.

I liked the original, the story may not have been the most riveting or spectacular thing, but what made it great was that it gave you many options as to how to proceed most of the time. (other developers take note, gameplay makes your game as much as the story does, if not moreso)

while there is alot of skepticism about multi-platorm games, personally I'm willing to give crytek a chance since they don't have any history of failing utterly with a multi-platform release.

all that said, I'm going to ignore the hype until the release and then enjoy the game for what it is, and make my judgement of it based on its merits, not whatever advertising the marketing machines spew out.
