although it requires skills to make something like this, i find it too much, overdone. oh well

great job on producing all the bits though,

No, I agree with ModKid actually. It is beautifully implemented, but the functionality of the design is losing itself a bit in trying to look pretty.

Would it be possible to have this thread cleaned? I'm finding it very hard to actually follow anything with all the pointless spam :(

How is it losing functionality? I supopse once it's all together, it might be a bit of a pain to fill those reservoirs, but by the look of it, it still seems quite functional.

losing the functionality?? how? the blades are acting as a heatsink, they fully serve a purpose. and they're pretty too. very much like topless bars...

Now, what is exactly the purpose of modding?
Is it to work by a way everyone does? Is it making something that is not unique? Is it making something that features enough of stuff to just 'satisfy' other people?

    Hell no!!! :wallbash:

The purpose of modding is making something that BLOWS away other people!
A modder needs people to say: "Damn, that's something I couldn't come up with within a hundred years" and "what a wicked designed baby you're making, man!"
That's modding. Who needs fancy watercooling blocks, nice looking reservoirs, radiators which can be bought right away? That can look fancy too, but that's NOT modding at the level of Dark Blade.
You need to admit that this mod is simply one of the nicest things on the forum.

I agree 100% this is one of the best projects on the forum. I said a few posts back it should be on the main-site..BUt remember different people have different tastes. One person could say "this is the best I have ever seen" the next could say "it's over-done"...You can't say one is correct and the other wrong. This is the reason there are different types/brands of everything under the sun..There is no "perfect" anything for everyone..
For me..This is perhaps the best project I have ever seen..

I agree with MS, this is truly the best project I have ever laid eyes on. How many other times have you seen something totally fabricated from scratch, even down to the bolts used, and have it look this damn good?

This project should be called "The Humbler"...

Orac3? I'll probably get flamed for this, but I really didn't like it. But in this case, the beauty of the material really shines through... While it's really complex in design, it still maintains a certain simplicity. Elegance, if you will. Whereas the Orac3 was scattered and almost seemed thrown together.

I know exactly what you mean, Orac3 is a VERY busy case, however, the workmanship is out of this world. I for one love it :)

Gnome specificly pointed out before he started the project that one of his GOALS was to make it look busy. Now enough of this off topic talk.

    Wonderful case G69T
