i can't remember the longest dialup time i've got,
should be a little more than a week...(win98 hangs!!)

i have had more than 300hrs dialup hours in a month.
after that, they don't even let me pay for the service...
    that's the time i changed to ADSL...:naughty:

I have a separate line, but it's the ISP that causes the problem. Here in the UK most ISPs cut you off after 2 hours! Mine died at 6am this morning though :(

I know how you feel, over here in Ohio I get disconnected from AT&T about every 8 hours. :grr: And then I have to dial up again, luckily I have my little P200 with Win2k serving it up. :) Sucks when you get disconnected in the middle of a download though. :(

Indeed, cable modems are. So much for "dynamic" ip addresses however. I've had the same ip address for about a year now. How about you lot?

'Tis the box bit-tech is hosted on. Net connection never goes down. mySQL db server, on the other hand, is entirely another issue. ;)

Anybody held a net connection longer than that? I'll compete with you broadband folk while the modemers have their own little competition. ;)

Not bad at all, beats the hell out of most of the other ISPs I've tried. There's supposed to be a usage limit on the £15 package, and if you go over they're supposed to move you up to the £25 a month package but I must have exceeded it by now and I'm still being billed £15.

hehe, over here in the good 'ol US of A, I have 1.5 MBs cable, which is very very nice, although it is more like 1.8 to 2.0 MB cable, they don't have their speed regulator thingie working quite right...

    I'm up 24 7, bty ;)

/me thinks he's just extracting the urine from us poor folks living on non-broadband areas and paying MORE for a service 1/10 the speed :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash:
