Thousands of PCs run the beta without problems, so there must be something going on with your machine. I'm sure it can be worked out. So this is a standard, wired K/B mouse setup, right?

Try delete any Human Interface Devices from the Device Manager and let Windows reinstall them.

I'd also unplug the Asus Xonar for a while. It may be too esoteric for the beta.

 

Anything in the Windows Application or System log at the time of the crash?

 

Yeah, I mean, out of all the betas I've ever played, this is easily the most stable/polished.

 

its an on going problem with my system that i know about and cannot be fixed. Iv searched the internet for years tring to fix it.
Its a sound latency issue i think, tried lots of different sound cards worth no luck.. some games are just dont work. different OS going from 7 to 8 has not helped.

BF4 does it sometime, a reboot 90% of the time fix's it with that game tho.

Ill post crash reports but no idea where to look for them.

Iv wasted so much money on games that crash out because of the sound, its literally 50/50 if it will work or be playable. Makes going console tempting

£50 is a lot to me, so wasting that sorta money is stressing me out, and i just want rid.

 

Can you pull the sound card and use on-mobo sound instead (and if you use a sound card, you do disable on-board sound in the mobo BIOS, don't you)?

 

Had a similar problem with GPU Nvidia Audio conflicting with onboard audio.

As Nexxo said, disable anything you don't use.

Yeah done the above before, still no luck. my suspicion is a motherboard or CPU problem as that the only things iv not changed over the years and still have the problem

 

Have you checked for an updated mobo bios?

Had a little fun trying to give some Palladium away for free but nobody wanted it!

Did jettison a single cargo pod of Palladium at one point but still no interest. So decided to pick it up which I did, then another pod of Palladium appeared! Picked that one up and the bug unfortunately did not repeat itself. So while attempting to give the stuff away I actually procured a second pod of Palladium!

 

Why did you do this? Was you attempting to lure a chancer(unidentified signal) who was up for a fight??? Has it worked before?

Could be an interesting experiment here....

 

Dumping some wealth since I imagine it'll all be reset with Beta 2!

 

Fair comment, the same reason I've been trashing various ships in war zones and at space stations in spectacular fashion......

 

Must be the mobo. Perhaps you could swap it; the rest of your system is still pretty tasty.

 

FINALLY got around to making my first trading run. And with the profits paid off a loitering fine!

Try dumping 100 cargo pods directly outside Aulin Enterprise. 150 credit fine per pod and it takes about 5 minutes for all the fines to process! Fortunately it can be paid off in one lump sum!

 

Sold my account to someone on here for only a small loss. I'll look into elite D again when its out of beta

 

I thought beta 2 was out today? Just rushed home from work to play.... still 1.06
