Whn i click the link and sa this i was like :eeek: :jawdrop: :eeek: :jawdrop: :eeek: :jawdrop: :eeek: :jawdrop: :eeek: :jawdrop: :eeek: :jawdrop: :eeek: :jawdrop: :eeek: :jawdrop: :eeek: :jawdrop: :eeek: :jawdrop: *twitches violently from smilie overload and sweetness of the lighting*

*after five min of twitching, regains contol*

That looks SAWEEEEEEEEEET. I have never seen anything like it and have watched it since the begining. One of the best mods i have seen. All though i would say to put something over that fan so things dont fall in.

More pics would be cool too.

Dont mean to be a nit picker but is that tv card you ordered have a hardware encoder. By this i mean does it convert the video on the card or does the software on the computer do this. IF it uses software you might run into a problem as the epia doesnt have the power to convert the video. On live tv it will be choppy and someitmes not work and you will have real problems if you want to record tv 2. I know the leadtek isnt a hardware enoder infact the only cards i know that are is some ati cards and the hauppage pvr series.

Just noticed it was a usb tuner not sure bout that

Very nice mod. My retarted self would need some protection on the fan *flashback of hand getting nicked by a fan*, but it seems to fit nicely with your design. I assume it is a sucker?!
While a dremel and drill may get you more respect, I personally think machine cut parts look much better! And besides, its still your design that is being cut. Keep up the good work!

very neat and clean....i love it....subscribeing now :thumb:

and as far as was mentioned eralyer dont sell your self short i would put this up with any of the other great mods around here...just 'cus you didnt do the machining yourself souldent matter much because a well thought out and executed desinge are what really matter in my opinion its ez to design something as simple and unimaginative as just a box with windows and blow holes...but its really hard to desinge something that really looks so asteticly pleasing and professional as this though...keep up the wonderfull work :thumb:

    Thank you all :D.

    @infered101
The new Adaptec USB Card has MPEG-2 Hardware Encoding.

I like the idea of a second color, so I need input :D, which color to choose. All suggestions are welcome.

Add yellow and red, then you can combine the different colors and get all the colors of the rainbow :p

    (using a variable resistor (like in a rheobus :p ) to make a color brighter ... )

    just my 2 cents ...

Just add some red. Blue and red mix nicely together.

There are already two potentiometers on the back, one for the fan and one for the LEDs. :naughty:

Actually, the signal is already encoded. You only need the encoder if you want to reencode to a different format or resolution.
I have an old Pentium Pro that works fine saving HDTV, without any hardware encoder.
