Do you reckon they'll bundle the numchuck with the Wii points cards like in Japan or do a bundle of the Wiimote and Numchuck

The price is a bit higher than I was expecting it to be, but still - if it lives up to our expectations, it'll be a sweet console indeed. I like how the back-catalogue will be immediately available too, along with plenty of games; a choice for all. :)

The price is higher than I was expecting aswell, but at least they didnt do a straight $-£ pricing where we would have to pay £250. £43 for a complete extra controller though does seem a bit high, I was hoping to get an extra couple at launch, but will probably only end up getting an extra Wiimote with about 4 games. The only downside about such an innovotive controller is the lack of 3rd party controllers there will be

You're looking at £25 in tax, which the US price doesn't include.

the launch date is missing in the article page.

    €249 and £179 ????

    €249 = $315.88

    £179 = $335.46

    and $250 = €197.06 = £133.39

    and €249 = £168.55

    from $ to € its 25% more
    from $ to £ its 34% more
    from € to £ its 6% more
rip off britain and rip off Europe.

and what the F**K are all the 9's on the prices? this is not supermarket land.

(i hope my maths are correct.)

if it is not region locked, then i will buy one from the USA.

In Yen, it costs 25000. Which is about 113quid. If you look at all the markups, even including VAT and the completely-wow-amazing-bundled-game, the UK is getting completely shafted, as usual.

But whatever, I'll still get one and order all my games from Videogamesplus or something.

DXR the Wii in the US will have around $50 of tax added on. Tax varies according to state unlike the EU and UK where it is fixed.

It's a bit too pricey for me with the relatively small amount of decent games that will be available for it. So therefore, I think I'll just wait 'til the price drops for it. In the meantime, I'll be playing on a great value for money with a wide range of games, the Xbox 360.

Other bad news: It turns out that the wii will apparently be region locked after all! Goddamn it!
