I love too many films to pick a firm favourite really, I suppose in a crunch I'd say Star Wars.

The Empire Strikes Back was the best one in the series, but A New Hope was just such a complete masterpiece it's got to take the crown.

It is too hard to pick one fav film, I think my top 5 would be:

    Shawshank Redemption
    The Usual Suspects
    Aliens
    The Untouchables

    torn between Casino and Goodfellas

OK, if we're taking this thread seriously then!

Yes it has Vinnie Jones in it, but he is perfectly cast :thumb:

I adore Tadanobu Asano, he's my favourite actor.

Awesome film. Some of the scenes are a little too long, but it works well and the ending was uplifting. And yeah, Vinnie Jones was good for the part.

That's more of an artistic piece than a feature film, no? Or, would you watch 90 minutes of cup sharing action?

I just watched this a day or two ago, I have to say I was kind of surprised by how the people in the movie act; and then the ending.....

So many things annoyed me about that film, but I actually thought the ending was quite good (which ironically seems to be the thing people hate most about it). Overall I would say it was average; I can certainly think of two other Stephen King adaptations that were better IMO.

I think the problem that most people would have with the ending is that it certainly isn't the generic happy ending that most people expect.

Currently I'd say Into the wild but I change my best movie often....Goodfellas and The Godfather are right up there too.
