448 core 560 ti's are essentially 570's well almost with a few cores lopped off

460/560 are midrange I'd say. This'll end up just being the Fermi club tbh LOL. :D

No worries mate - I've been googling like a mofo and found out as much as I can about these fancy capacitors. I've also contacted Gigabyte and hope to hear from them within the next few days which will give me peace of mind if nothing else!

In the meantime I should try to get 800MHz core with stock volts (1013mV on this card). The previous owner said it's 3D stable at 890MHz with 1150mV but that seems like a lot of volts... we'll see. :D

Pah... I no longer consider my 580s worthy of praise. Decidedly lack lustre in view of the red team's latest offerings. Roll on Kepler.

Seen izools xfired set up more like. While the 580s aren't exactly embarrassed... they no longer look like the king of the hill they did a few months back.

I just want kepler to hurry up now so I can kick his ass.

Come on the gtx580 is over a year old and it still stands up very well against the latest that the red team can throw at us. I am still very happy with my gtx 580 however i will still be interested in some kepler action.

LOL... this is why I'm waiting to see what Kepler delivers. I dislike Xfire, and I dislike ATI drivers even more.

True that, although after seeing TTL's video's I can say that the 7950 is a cracking card, but thats not to say Kepler won't be, but nVidia are going to have to pull their finger out :thumb:

I'm rockin a 480 almost two years after launch, and I love it! Granted, it's very close to a 470 in performance, but it still devours everything I throw at it with stock clocks, and it cost the same as a 560 Ti. Win. :thumb:

Purely out of interest, what's the stock GPU clock of a 580? I'd love to see some 3DMark Vantage comparisons with you 580/hexcore owners. ;)

Bearing in mind it says Kepler is 2011, Maxwell wonot be released until 2015 or something stupid :sigh:

2013. Kepler is a touch behind. Aye, but perhaps that's because they're planning to one-two punch AMD?

Release Kepler, kick AMD in the face, then release Maxwell just before AMD gets a chance to respond, giving Nvidia a massive jump in performance again.

Flipside; AMD cards would fall in price. 7950s for a low price, anyone? That much performance would almost make the drivers bearable. (I'm sorry, but I'm too used to the Nvidia Control Panel. Per application graphics settings <3 )

I love my 470 too, and that was purchased only a few months ago :D It would be interesting to see what clocks you can get and how that compares with whatever clocks I can reach with the 470.

@ noiz, good idea. I've been comparing my 480 with saved results from my 470 and the performance is very different in different games/benches. 3DMark performance is similar, but the 480 utterly roasts the 470 in Heaven, so it looks like the difference is more pronounced in DX11 than it is in previous versions.

We should compare Heaven 2.5 results. I will try to match whatever GPU clock you get and we can do apples/apples comparisons. Do you have the 285 Nvidia drivers?
