Grave of the Fireflys. Great movie but I cant watch it again cause its just so-damn-depressing. Luckly the light fitting wasnt strong enough after the first time i watched it.
It was on TV the other week. We had a little sobfest on IRC I should also add that because of my peculiar nature with disliking humans and caring more about animals, insects & objects more than people... the following also make me cry. Lots. The Incredible Journey: Homeward Bound (even the happy bits have me in tears...); Watership Down; The Brave Little Toaster (I catually can't watch this anymore because of the state I get into. That mean old lamp ).
lols, cried at greenmile. this sounds stupid, but i cried like a bitch over a futurama episode called Jurrassic Bark, when Frys dog waited for him till his dying day. ok ill shut up now
Best one I have seen in the past couple years would have to be Palwolui Christmas (Christmas in August), such a beautifully acted film. Will bring a tear to your eye every time. Though I do have to say that S. Korean stories do like sad endings instead of the normal happy endings we're used to.
Transformers the Movie - When Optimus Prime dies (when I was about 10 ) When the wind blows - Animated tale of an old couple and their experiences following a nuclear holocaust, very sad indeed. There are others... Big Fish does have it's tear jerking moments.
Never really cried at a flick, but the closest I came recently was watching Bad Santa. I felt so bad for that little boy. In fact, I refuse to watch it again because of how it made me feel. I know it was supposed to be a comedy, but I was pissed as hell at parts and extremely sad in others.. Other than that, Forest Gump gave me a lump in my throat.
Yes!!! I too have never cried watching a movie, but American History X put me right to the edge! I thought about that movie for days after seeing it. It is one of my favs. The scene that almost made me ball was when Ed Norton get's out of the shower and he looks at his neo-nazi tattoos in the mirror in disgust. That movie should be required viewing for students.
Oh yeh, that was a powerful movie, watched it school all those years ago in "Modern Studies" People think things are scary nowadays with the whole war on terror, but the fear of an all out nuclear attack back then was even more frightening
Yeah, aside from upsetting me (just being able to imagine my own grandparents in the same situation) it really scared me to. I guess then though global nuclear war was still a realistic threat.
I remember Land Before Time, they're up to like number 9 now or something . I don't think I've ever actually cried in a movie, but a few movies have made me feel sad, like I wanted to cry.
