Hardware First Look: Antec Dark Fleet PC Case

What the **** Antec? I'm disappointed.

 

It's absolutely hideous. If industrial is what they're after, let me give a hint -- there's no plastic in the "industry". 1200 is fugly as-is, but this one is even more awful, dunno who would actually get excited about this one.

 

Is the top drive bay door broke? Is the plastic that brittle?

 

No no, it's probably just the angle of photo. It is hinged like a door and the build quality is the usual Antec quality.

 

I'm getting in late and haven't read all the posts but..... If you guys want to design a case take the considerations of the power supply....... put it on the top if you're too stupid to machine holes in the bottom so you can turn the power supply over so.... 1. You can get the wires to the back of the case making it easier to manage your wiring and 2. So the fan isn't facing up so you drop screws into it.... Antecs suck for this.

The name Dark Fleet sounds so lame, no fucntion there.....

Here's a design tip, use the 902 and 1200's aesthetics combined with the fucntion of the thermaltake BMW case.

 

Overall speaking, the industrial look I think is OK , I preffer two 140mm on the roof instead of the 200mm , the 140mm fans are easy to swap to another color or another fan maker ,
