Just for you lot, and because I'm awesome, I'll bung some fans into the case on Monday and stick a blog post up with the results.

The whole point is that they test "out-of-the-box" I thought.
Sure you can improve cooling performance by adding stuff but the reviews here show you what it would be like if you didn't change anything.

Like the looks, cooling ain't great but can be boosted. Nice little case, still more than happy with my 932 though.

All the reviews must have a measure with stock cooling but also with all the fans it could equip. It's a suggestion for future case reviews ^^

This seems to be the result of the countless p180/p182 mods.... its what the p183 should have been.

it sounds like i more or less had this case two years ago, after i hacked my p182 to bits.

+1, also I am surprised you don't include noise measurements.

I like bit-tech. And I appreciate all the work that goes into a review such as this one. But I do feel that this review was heading in the wrong direction. I realise that in order to compare cases as they come from the shop/factory, you have to use a standardised platform for testing - but in this case the standard platform doesn't match what we, the users, are going to be doing. After all, who is going to buy such a case with a bunch of gaming gear and NOT stick few more fans in it. Similarly, there was no noise test on this case with lots of disks installed - given that quite a few would be looking at this case for this exact purpose, it would be greatly appreciated.

I really do like the bit-tech reviews, it is one of the few sites I read on a highly regular basis, it's just a pitty that some of the reviews seem to get a bit lost. Anyway, enough said.

I still think this case was reviewed in an environment it wasn't designed for. As they stated, it seems this was meant more for a server application, or for who a user who wants almost complete silence, out of the box.

I also think the performance shouldn't have taken such a hit as it did. Are we talking, thermal performance, noise performance, both, or what? For performance, I think this case should have gotten an 8, it performed as what it was designed for, noise reduction.
