Case Mod - In Progress Frozen Grey By Twister [COMPLETED]

Hi, long time lurker here; just registered to ask about this awesome build!

I'm assuming the tubing is chrome plated copper; may i ask what procedure you followed to bend the tubes without cracking the chrome plating? Or is it such that this hydraulic-rated tubing is such that it can bend without ruining the plating? I always thought that one had to buy copper tubes, bend/cut to fit, and then plate them.

I do have a question for you.

If I wanted to do something similar with plexi and white leds.

Could I use transparent acrylic and paint it white on one side and use leds to light it up underneath?

Don't have any milk white acrylic :/

 

what you say is correct.. but with copper chromed i use the blowpipe to heat a chrome and bend with an internal core the result is this!

 

I think it succeeds even so... but the aesthetic result is much lower

 

I took a little piece and painted it white to try with.

But now I think I will go with frosted acrylic

I got a really fast question.

Whats the model of the CNC you use. It seems pretty small in size but it allows you to make all pieces you want for case modding.
