surely the 'FABULOUS' (note the intense use of sarcasm ) people at [H] should host the pictures them selves because i assume that they linked to your log without permission which is very inconsiderate because they know the sheer volume of traffic that they would direct here.

I think thats terrible behaviour from a 'respectable' (again note the fun and exciting sarcasm) review site. they should compensate

If you want, I'm pretty sure I can handle all the pics (at least until you get your own host sorted, if you're dead set on it).

I think that they should respect that fact that not everyone has an endless supply of bandwidth and if u start your first project log ever your dont really expect over 40000 in 2 days. I agree that i was too bold in my statement but i feel that [H] should at least shown some consideration rather then just passing a flood of traffic over. A warning at least so some extra hosting could of been arange.

Yes everyone is entitled to freely pass on links around, thats a huge part of why the internet is so great because good things spead quickly, i guess i just look good mannors thats all

I have absolutely NO problem with [H]ardocp linking my site! Mashie is absolutely right, it's the nature of the beast.

HOWEVER It would have been nice of them to shoot me an email and warn me so I could have organised something beforehand .

All things considered, I am still pleased I got a mention there!

The Good News is...

I now have a host for the Images.

I will be uploading them 1 post at a time (first 1 is up now). This will take a couple of hours (on my 56k).

Apologies to all who came for a look while the pics were down - they will be fixed shortly.

Anyway, enough said, no more on this as it's all fixed now (or soon lol)

 

But I did tell you, my man. (and I even mentioned [H]ardocp).
Your work is very, very exceptional so I advice you to be cautious and try to save a little bandwidth;
you don't know how long and how intensely will you be a star, I think your popularity will be long lasting and intense.

EDIT: you may take out pictures that are equal or almost so, at least.

Hey G-gnome, I know the pain... I got [H]ed with my Powerwindow LCD mod... Took my little server to it's knees and fast... as a matter of fact, the nice folks at bit hosted them for me... I knly got 17,000 hits in one day...

Hey all.

The lovely folks at Bit-Tech have offered to host the pics for me! I have sent them the files (took 3 1/2 hours at 56k) and I should have things back to normal within a couple of days. Just under 1/2 the images are up now, but the server they are on is a bit slow.

A big thank you to all who offered to host the pics

I have also got about 100 emails in the last day so I will answer these when I can (yep EqUaTte, I'll let you know).

I was hoping to post an update today but the hosting issues are going to delay that for a couple of days.

Now I am going to have a lay down and de-stress
