Mine will do 70hz on Nvidia OK. I use Adaptive Sync ATM. It's only rated for 60hz, or 70 on AMD. IDK if mine is the same as yours? I have the B&O version that replaced the Beats version? I think they are the same panel, but obs the refresh rate has been improved.
I have this 1 *** I read display port only input for 240hz setting?,which I'm using*** Alienware 25 Gaming Monitor - AW2518Hf, Full HD @ Native 240 Hz, 16:9, 1ms Response Time, DP, HDMI 2.0a, USB 3.0, AMD FreeSync, Tilt, Swivel, Height-Adjustable Amazon'sChoice Set to fatest setting option (240hz) in the monitor and in black ops 4 graphics hz options(239hz),settings maxed,v sync off...runs great.gtx 1080..frames never go below 120 to as hi as 180ish..idk.
I was going to test this out. No gsync option though. Turns out on page 18(iirc) of the bumpf you need W10... Bugger. May just wait until I upgrade. :/
I might treat myself to a nice 34" curved 1440p VRR panel, if I can find one that cost less than a replacement lung.
Just an FYI, if anyone is unable to use it on older GPUs, that is on purpose. It won't be supported on Maxwell and such: https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/g...-belo-will-not-get-adaptive-sync-support.html
Can't find it now but i'm sure I read something somewhere where somebody had it working on an Envy 32. Yeah, alot of something somethings there
It deffo works. I ran a app that runs normal Vsync on one slide and Gsync on the other I can't use it on my Alienware 24 Freesync, 'cause I am using a Vega 64 on that with Freesync obs. But, boy am I glad I opted for the £240 Freesync one instead of the nearly £600 Gsync one lol. I'd have been hella gutted !! There is a high chance that somewhere in the future I will be using an Nvidia GPU on this, so it's nice to know I'll get Gsync
What app was that mate? I was wondering if there was a way other than just subjectively from gaming. Will give it a go when I get around to slapping W10 on a drive to test my monitor.
That refresh and response combo sounds hard to get games to run smooth on.Now movies etc would look great. Hp envy 32 Refresh Rate 60Hz Response Time 7ms My second monitor 24 inch acer touch ips 60hz/5ms looks amazing, but using it only to monitor temp's when gaming on my alien ware 240hz/1ms.I tried gaming on it and it was so choppy it was impossible for me and had to buy the alien ware, plugged that free sync monitor into my 1080 and been amazed since. There's a lot of cheap 120hz/1ms out there made just for fast gaming performance I now know not needing this driver unlock from nvidia.
I have the same 240hz alienware you have too, with a Vega 64. I also have the 32" with a Titan XP and the monitor runs at 70hz fine. I mainly play RPG and games like that on it where high response and FPS don't matter so much.
Oh nice ok....how do u like the alienware? I don't think it really needs the overclocked 240hz fastest setting,144 I think is fine. This gysync unlock thing I think is NOT needed with a 120hz/1ms freesync moniter plus a Nice nvidia gpu(980ti+) with a solid cpu....idk...stuttering issues I think lies in cpu bottleneck,low/mid gpu struggling and Def with a 60hz/4ms+ moniter trying to play some newer fps games.
