Looks very... Flash Gordon... Did they give any indication wtf it is? Looks like a heavy transport for the Custodes.
Everything is certainly pointing that way and with the way that AoS is working now, there is a pretty good framework for how the 40K galaxy could end up. One thought is that all this will result in the death of Slaanesh (or at least the disappearance, such as in AoS) as well as the death of the emperor. This would lead to the astronomicon being shut down and everything becoming isolated as warp travel would not be navigable. This would then probably result in everyone using something like the Eldar webway in the same way that they introduced the realmgates into AoS in order to get around. It would probably also lead them to putting everything into sections like we are starting to see with the Fall of Cadia stuff with a general imperium army with everything loyal thrown in together. Chaos would stay as a general everything bad and gribbly force with the others finding their own spots in other categories. A simplifying of the rule set would then be the next logical step. We've been seeing the marginalisation of the background fluff such as rouge traders (they've still been around, just very quiet) as well as bits and pieces about the regular folk, gangers, arbites, and so on in the same way that with AoS there is almost nothing about the townsfolk or the general background fluff, it's all war all the time. Something that I think has made the game "thinner" and far more watered down as a result.
And this is why I'm pretty much taking my leave of 40k. I barely play it as is, in fact, possibly two years since my last game in 40k rules.
Pre-ordered Halls Of Hammerhall I'm a total sucker. Disappointed that the main-bad model they are showing off is one of the models form the additional heroes box mind, but those Blightkings...... Love Nurgle stuff, and I might just have to paint the old metal Great Unclean one I found in the loft
I've been pleasantly surprised by the quality of Inquisitor: Martyr. Despite in alpha, it plays well and has lots of promise for filling the void left by Inquisitor disappearing as a game.

So whats everyone's thoughts on 8th ed leaks rumours and announcements ? seems to be a massive simplification to speed the game up ( removal of templates, cover moving to change your hit rolls etc# so far im cautiously optimistic about it ( my Tyranids are hopefully going to enjoy going first when charging anyway ) but a few friends don't like the removal of templates, so we might house-rule those as few things are satisfying as placing a massive template over your opponents rather expensive command squad and also catching a few nearby units in the blast
So far, I am pleasantly (if also cautiously) surprised. I was worried that it'd be going along the lines of AoS with a complete dumbing down of the system along with associated name changing bull$£&%. I'm liking the return of the movement characteristic as it will allow for armies to have a very different feel with things like the Tyranids being very quick, leading to a more tense situation as you try and kill them before they get to you. I just hope that the background isn't diluted anymore as we have seen with things like the Orks and to the extreme with AoS.
I've not actually played 40k since 3rd ed! I didn't like the direction they were going in with it and I still have great rose-tinted memories of 2nd Ed.
