    Hmm

This isnt intended to piss anyone off: If youve never heard the GF Fx Card working how would you know that its LOUD. Unless other wise stated by reviewrs on other webstes. But anyways you might be shocked that it isnt as loud as ur all thinking. Yeah i was kinda dissapointed in the FPS that it was pulling off but i also understand that Technology came along way from when i was around so im gonna appreciate everything it has to offer.

This Wasnt to piss anyone off just to State an Opinion

We know it's loud because of the reason you pointed out. Granted it's not loud all the time because the fan's speed is linked directly to the activity of the GPU.

But still, why bother when it's only a slight advantage and ATi (if they're still around) are debuting a card with 2 months that's faster, quieter and costs $150 less?

Ok so who will be the first on bit-tech to make the gForce FX silently water cooled?

Note: You may need two water cooling systems, one for the CPU and one for the GPU.

Umm... we know it's a noisy cooling system because anamdtech has a video with sound of one in action... ( its loud )

Not to mention it rang up on the decibel meter at 65db...

lol, but hot enough to require a seperate W/C system? Doubt it.

65 was at normal speeds as well!! (and still louder than ATi period).
With the increase in speeds, it went to about 79db IIRC.

Not at all. If you can happily W/C two AMD chips, I think you can manage one CPU + 1 GPU.

Use your own senses, the FX is £500 the 9700 is £200.

Why on earth you need to rely on bittechs opinion at this stage after the benchmarks of the FX I really do not know.

Trust me go with the 9700 or wait for the code named R350 released a month after FX ( both incidentally from ATI ).

Were you bitten by the Nvidia hype bug ?

I no it only Out Peformed Radeon by 10% but ima big Video Card Nerd and i collect Video cards. i got like 25 or more diff types of card from voodoo 3 to voodoo 5 and many more. just kinda pissed about how long i waited along with everyone else to see a card that was saposed to be higher then god himself but is lower the Satin
