Hmmmm, not a fan of hardcore then..

And I've never seen no bullet drop, long range you really do have to account for it.

I'm not a fan of a gamemode where things are just needlessly brutal. I can understand the appeal of Hardcore, but with almost everything being a one-hit kill; it's kinda ridiculous if, for example, someone is camping outside spawn with an M60, or a sniper on the far end of the map with a 417 just mowing down absolutely everything in his path.

True, but with the reduced health a grenade doesn't have to be as close to blow them up. As for the spawn camping, ZiiP admins usually come down like a tonne of bricks on them if they persist.

Might be worth jumping on TS with us and giving it a shot?

There is still the same bullet drop and tanks go down as normal as well. It is just that the soldier has reduced health and no regen. But as you said, bolt action will take you down one shot (unless you hit their arm or legs), semi-auto snipers require 2-3 shots depending on the distance and the battle rifles are interesting as well. It is definitely worth a shot at.

    Nice link - thanks :thumb:

On a similar theme to scopes, I have been wondering about attachments. Why is it that every sniper appears to have the flashlight attachment? I always think, haha I can see you over there, how stupid! But then I proceed to stop dead in my tracks and attempt to hit them with a short range rifle from miles away, whilst they simply pop one in my head

Thinking about it, I'm guessing this is why they have the attachment! :wallbash:

That is not a flashlight, it is simply glare from the rifle scope! :thumb:

Felt off this evening, I don't deal well with the hot weather, apologies if I offended any one. As you could tell from my outbursts I was pretty chilled straight after just more irrational than usual.. meh, I'll get a good nights sleep and be fine tomorrow!

The rifles in BF3 aren't anywhere near accurate enough for long range engagements - I used to be able to take the AN94 in BFBC2 and take out most snipers. No more in BF3 though :(

AS VAL complete. On to the M1014 now. This thing is a recoil monster! Although I'm quickly learning to control it. I think I'll turn this into an ACOG-scoped, slug-firing monster.

I may join you guys again tonight. Will depend entirely on how bad my connection is at that point in time, it was getting to the realms of complete bull-manure last night.

I suspect I could give you a run for your money with the amount of rubber-banding I was doing last night, Throbbi, Everyone else can attest as to how much I was jittering all over the place.

It was shocking! My game has felt 'off' the last 2 nights, bullet reg not as accurate etc.. Frustrating but it comes and goes so gotta get on with it.

It's mostly down to my connection, but the erratic, jittery latency i'm getting seems to dramatically magnify any latency issues with the server, too.

It's a right pain in the arse, i'm saying that. It's annoying when I'm killed by my usual latency of 30-40 miliseconds, 300 odd is just ridiculous, I can run a good 100M, gun down two people and be mid-way through a reload, only to have stood there like a dumbass on their screens, so I get gunned down as a result.
