Hehe..from one crazy to another... if you think that was crazy, then I fear for what you will think of the final part of this project because that part have made me doubt my own sanity, and thats true really. The pico will have something similar ofcourse Thanks a lot, yeah mitxs are made to end up next to a TV. I love em.
I dont know about anyone else but I just need to see the anodizing in order to give this some proper mod props due to the craxiawesomnesZ of Mario
So you're making a one up mushroom heat sink? Wow, that's a brilliant idea and you've made it looks amazing so far, can't wait to see the finished product, some real nice metal work there.
Bummer, I just read the whole thread and thought that by now I'd see the finished product I'm too impatient to wait for results! This is absolutely incredible, the accuracy, the perfect lines, the small size, the GREAT design idea... just incredible. Cannot wait to see how this turns out.
Thanks for your aproval and repping Don't worry you will get to see it and thanks for commenting. Thanks, yep you have got it right. It's a somewhat odd idea I think but there is definetly wearder cases out there. Thanks for reading the whole thread, really apreciate it. There is still some work to do but it's basically wiering and finetuning left now. Nice to hear you like the design
I'm in the soldering stage of this build at the moment. And since I choose to put the Mboard vertically with the I/O facing down, I need to extend and angle the connectors. I could have bought premade angled connectors but then I wouldn't have had the same design freedom of the foot. Anyway..First of is the DVI extender. There you have it, World shortest DVI extension cable, or.. not. Well Im not shure but it might atleast be in the game. It was really hard to get those cables in right length and get them straight. The octopussy style will have to do. I actually started to sleave it but I realised that I would loose all of the little flex there was in the cable and I will really need all I can get. So I had to remove it. Maybe I should have done Individual sleeving I have also done some more work on the I/O panel. This time, I tried my hands on some really puny holes. That black blury little line is the Drill and its 0,7mm. However I managed to break it at the second hole and the rest of the bit got stuck in the hole. I freaked out cause I realised there was no way of getting it out and I thought I had ruined the whole foot. Luckely when I enlarged the holes to the final size (1mm) the stuck drillbit somehow got out and the part was saved. Puh... I also enlarged the USB slots to the right. .. the first connector is in and it works, time to get going on the next one.
Ooooh that DVI cable looks like it was as fiddly as can be & veeeerrrrry nice IO panel & glad you got the stuck bit out . +rep
Thanks, and I love your work aswell, I'm waiting for you anodization. Good, since thats my goal. Thanks Hehe thanks.. there will be more Thanks mate. Yeah it was fiddly enough, but still managable though. Thanks pOPe. Yeah I hope the temps will stay low Now Im off to the mill
