Well what a year that was. I got a house, got engaged and had a massive hoot inbetween. We've had a Russian new year this evening, including burning a wish into champagne. Been great fun. Happy new year to you all.
For reasons I won't burden you all with, the last couple of months in 2017 were very bad for us, resulting in my worst period for mental health in many years but, things look much better for this year.
2016 may have been a shite year for the world, but 2017 has been a shite year for me personally. 2018 needs to be a year of self improvement for me.
Isn't there a saying or something about how it's only through the dark that we come to recognise the light or something like that, although i do wonder why the dark has to be so damn dark at times.
In contrast with most in this thread so far, I had a really good 2017 on balance - a couple of pretty bad points, sure, but a lot of lovely and special moments too. Roll on 2018, and I hope it brings good fortune, good health and happiness to every one on BT.
Roll on 2018, a year I need to get and stay fit, sitting at a bench with a soldering iron, meter and scope hasn't helped. I hope 2018 is going to be a bostin' un for all. In proper english Happy New Year to all.
For sitting around and watching the universe pass me by, 2017 wasn't all that bad; the dumpster fire smouldered but the flare-ups were minimal.
