I'll probably try it out if i ever get a hold of a copy.

 

How big was the download? I heard it was 2.7GB.

 

I just dled off the torrent. The x86 version was 2.43 and the 64bit was 3.15.

 

Any link to the torrent? Or should I just take any of the ones already on the web?
It's about time I re-install Windows on my main machine anyways. Might as well give Windows 7 a try.

No hijack - I'm Back!!

I've been off in IE and M$ land all day getting a real download and my key.
It appears that sometime in the past for whatever reason I am registered with the M$ Developer Network. Must have been work related - probably something with Silverlight.
I got the download and now I'm back

2.43 Gb .iso image.

Lots of steps yet to do. First it is an urgrade from Vista SP1 ONLY, so I need to whip up a lite version of Vista for H2O-C7. That will be a head scratcher by itself. I know we have at least one of the eeePCs in the house running XP. Vista on H2)-C7 will be interesting.

Its not a standalone copy? lame.

 

Vista upgrade is only path so far - it's still a beta.

Not True! It's a standalone. I did a clean install with the torrented version. The upgrade thing that you're thinking of is that you can only do an upgrade install from Vista, not XP. A clean install works fine.

 

I hate having to download stuff like this between certain hours or my ISP slow me down to a cruel 80kbps.

I'm gonna see how it performs on a virtual machine, not enough space for a proper install


Are you still in the dark as to the whereabouts (must go to bed started using long words ) of your CF panels?

I also left out that I need to find a color monitor.

Workgroup 3.11 to Win7 is a big step, Cheaps. Need to be careful out there!

I actually just found my 98SE CD a couple of days ago. Thought about adandoning my laptop to run on 98 for some oldschool gaming sessions.

It's really a neat piece. It's still in production for Military, Law Enforcement and schools. QuickPad Pro. Google it and check it out.
I've been saving it for a Steam Punk mod on another forum I belong to: Brass Goggles. I'm no Datamancer like those people, but twould be fun.
