Xbox 360 Halo 3 Multiplayer: Updated with Gamertags

It's opened up now apparantly.

 

Downloading now 93% done (woohoo). won't be able to play until I get home from work though :/

 

I only managed to get in 5 games yesterday because the matchmaking took ages to load. But I'm doing pretty well (link in sig) 80% of games won.

So did any of you get to play Halo 3??? What is it like? any good?

 

Far better then Halo 2 in my view, takes a bit of getting used to the reconfigured controls.

RB is used to pickup/switch/reload right weapon, LB for left.

X is now used to deploy "Equipment" such as power drains, grav jumps and shields.

Y is still switch though.

Theres a new type of grenade which is taking some getting used to for me, it's spiked to stick in the ground when it hits but I've only been able to play snowbound so far so it's not very different to the standard grenades.

Active camo looks a lot different, more camo'd and the pick up is a shiny big blue ball so it's almost at eye height.

Pace is a lot faster, snow leaves footprints, shadows are much better defined.

 

erm? so the halo 3 beta is better than halo 3?

It's actually quite a lot different, well theres one difference, but it makes the tactics for it's use a lot different. Brute genades only explode perpendicular to the surface they're attached to, so if they're on the floor they'll explode up, on a wall they'll explode at a right angle to the surface, this makes em very useful in corridors.

 

See, I hadn't noticed that because bloody snowbound is annoying, most of the time people stay on the snow.

I did play 4v4 snipers and shottys on it though. That was fun. Basically was one team member hiding and sniping then the rest running round trying to shotty.

The movies thing is pretty cool, shame that it's only limited to one view in beta, final will have every camera view. I wouldn't mind downloading it to a PC or something to play back.

not really, actually all the people ive played with are foreign. Im having a good laugh with this. looks like the new spyker weapon is my fave tho i dont know how to get the grav lift thingy working.

its seems a nice even and fair system. also the graphics look nice and pretty.

I just want to try the other new maps out as it seems im only playing the same one over and over.

 

Most of the time the players I've killed were German. Only one US.
