This is not my first mod but i have been told that this one is worthy of posting.

I am starting a persex case for a VIA itx pc and i wanted a Windowed HDD, well some 4mm persex, day and some polishing later i came up with this.

Still needs a bit more of a polish to get some small scratches out (looks like dust on the photo but it is actually small scratches :( ), but well what do you all think worthy or not?

That looks very nice. Is it an IBM "deathstar"? If so, you really must like taking chances.

be careful with the polishing dude, i would tape a piece of wire to the plexi and run it to your case your something to ground it and keep static from building up while polishing it.

Nice work! But it does need some lighting wonder how UV paint would look on a couple of components (a couple, not the platters! I know someone will say it! :D )

There are plans for LED Activity mod, once the case i am building for it is finished. Unfortuatly there is not enough room for a UV cathode - although these UV-LED have some interesting potential!

theres no data on the top platter its just to stop dust getting into the drive does any one know then if you could paint the top platter with UV paint????? I wouldnt risk trying to paint it anyway may do more damage than its worth
