I want to strip the paint off some rads to have a bare metal finish on them, but don't want them to dullen over time. If i spray them with a lacquer, will that reduce the heat transfer too much?

I could ensure i used a very thin lacquer to lessen the effect, but am worried that it will all but stop any heat dissipation from the fins.

Probably no worse than the paint that's already on them.
