Just wait until every last pension system in western countries collapses due to increasing lifespans...

Three or even four generations simultaneously in retirement may well happen this century.

Four generations simultaneously in retirement? How long are you taking as a "generation"?

    Correct.
A people who cant make anything can't buy anything, that is the nature of trade. A nation needs a strong manufactured based economy.

I can't fault your logic, and I expect that if Trump becomes president be will basically be neutered by congress and senate, but history shows that disappointed people simply vote for an even worse extreme. Although Obama won after Bush, so there's that.

What we can depend on is that business will find a way to get its way. The real politics happen at the Bilderberg meetings.

Its unfortunate that people get taken in by videos like those. Neither of them say anything of importance. Its just drivel that isn't backed up by anything.

Doesn't that sum up politicians though? :)

What amazes me is with the plethora of information available in this modern era that people seem more ill-informed than ever before.

It does sum up politicians and its unfortunate people are taken in by it.

People seem more uninformed because freely available information allows them to more easily transmit their opinion. Just like we are doing now.

So you're saying they've, we've always been ill-informed it's just that ill-informedness is now more visible, if so that makes sense, however that still leaves me wondering why the flow of information mostly seems to be going in one direction.

    Don't question authority...

...they don't know the answer either...

It's a bit like how our system works, it's why the electoral commission is redrawing the boundaries, much to the dislike of Labour who come across as self serving A holes for wanting to retain a system where one persons vote counts more than another (IMO).

People only whine the system is biased or rigged when it gives a result they don't like...

Drumpf was bitching that the nominations were rigged, until he won, then he didn't care...

He's only bitching the election is rigged because it looks like he might lose, if he wins, he won't care...

I imagine the irony of having an Old Money Billionaire who went to the prep school his father part owned as the face of the anti establishment is lost on the goons voting for him.
