I've just finished (well, all but the side panels) my cube and crammed all my hardware inside it and tried to carry it upstairs, but it weighs an absolute ton! So I weighed it on the trusty bathroom scales and its 24KG! No wonder my arms ache.

24kg isn't that suprising considering you have a YY Cube which are heavy things before you put anything in them.

My computer is far too heavy, 5hrs on a train to Scotland with it proved that.

Suprisingly heavy considering the case is almost entirely aluminium. Having said that I don't have cause to pick it up all that often.

Good grief you guys have heavy computers; my Silverstone TJ05 weighs in at 36 pounds plus the weight of the elctronics; Id guess its about 40 pounds, or 18 kilograms (Or 179 newtons to keep things as measures of weight :D)

Newtons would be a measure of mass would it not, and lb's and kg's would be weight. :D

Kilograms is a measure of Mass; Newtons is a measure of force, like pounds ;)

Another chieftec full tower owner (lovely blue matrix)
Its so damn heavy. Struggled getting it up here empty, its now got a hefty PSU, opticals, heatsink etc in... weighs a tonne :(
Previous chieftec dragon (ally) was so much lighter, lovely case tbh. Pitty it had to be sold.

pretty heavy, YY cube, the cooling alone probably weighs quite a bit (NV68, 1250, 120.2, SS-TDX, 4x papst 4412), ive peared it just down to just the scsi drives recently though, with the other drives in a server, was even heavier before that (6 hdds)

nfi about an exact weight though, dont have a scale

i haven't wieghed mine properly but i would guess its about 15-18KG cause i got a Theramltake Tsunami dreams case so it completely aluminium and they say it wieghs 6kg when empty but i don't believe them cause i can pick it up with my little finger so so i think its closer to 4-5KG then i stripped some unessacary fan grills and I/O ports then added my equipment (the heaviest being the PSU which wieghed more than the case [about double]). so i would think 15-18KG is reasonable for it.

18.5kg - Surprising as it's a steel antec plusview (half way between a standard tower and a full tower I think) with 2 hard drives...

Another owner of a Chieftec full server here. Carbon black (slightly grey) matrix version. I put wheels on mine, but I have a piece of steel spacing out the wheels so it isnt top heavy. But with and intake box, where I will add sound insulation in the future, and a "muffler" which still lacks sound insulation, it is even heavier. Its definitely heavy... 50-60 lbs I think, maybe more. Never can get a good reading on it. All I know is, that on a smooth floor, I can sit on top of it, and scoot around on it because of the castors. :hehe:
