Well I used to keep a list of all the ones I had but I got lazy I have exectly 167 though caus i keep a tally for every dvd I get.
I got a few but the only DVD player i have is on my computer Matrix (My favourite film) Star Wars Episode II Danger mouse x 2 (project moon and another one) South Park movie (i dont know why i dont really like it that much) Michael Jackson History Vol 1 dvd Cats and Dogs Cool runnings Mission Impossible 2 Think there is maybe one more but i cant remember, but not a very good collection, i just dont have the money to spend on dvds
heres mine, u can make most of em out apart from the particuarly shiny ones... + about 5 that i bought the other day Unforgiven Sharpes Waterloo + Sharpes justice Pale rider Unforgiven The outlaw josey Wales Hornblower Boxset.
fathazza: spotted a few brilliant films amongst your collection; Brother - Excelent film, I have all but one of "Beat" Takeshi's films Battle Royale - again, another brilliant asian film (everyone MUST see this) Chopper - Classic Spaced: Series 1+2 - THE best british sitcom (I've watched both god-knows how many times (bloody 'ell) Versus - not seen it, but I really want it! ZOMBIES! and do I also spot the 1st and 2nd series of Red Dwarf?
cheers radiator, that is red dwarf series one and 2 with 3 already preordered. I agree that beat takeshi is pretty cool, i like the way he directs but some of his films arent that great eg. sonatine. Versus is pretty cool, but overly styleized, my copy is actually a bit dodgy some dvd-r guy off ebay but i didnt realise at the time. the asian film ide recomend the most is the killer, that film is ffing great.. i love the end scene that who kinda copied again in his own face off. Spaced is the best sitcom ever, and every member of bit tech should own it. I love all the spoofs in the 2nd series like the matrix and robocop. I aslo hear they are gonna make a 3rd series after they do a film called shaun of the dead. Harry
i think the 3rd series may not be out for quite some time, as they all seem to have their own little projects: Simon Pegg + Edgar Wright (director) are doing Shaun of the Dead (like you said) Jessica Stevenson pops up now and again in various programs Nick Frost is doing Danger 50,000 volts (great show) and Twist (can't remember her real name) is currently in coronation street i only started watching spaced cos I loved Big Train (Simon Pegg and Mark Heap were both in it - fantastic sketch show!)
One of my housemates claims to have an ADDICTION to buying stuff like that. I couldn't tell you how many he has. No problem by me - I get to watch stacks of films for FREE - YEAY!!!!
....and i just broke 14!!!!! well, i'm working on my collection. give me a break! should have around 50+ by the new year though, if not more (hopefully at least 75)
I have 5: Star Wars Episode 2 (2 discs) Lord of The Rings Platinum extended edition (4 discs) Star Trek 2: Wrath of Kahn (2 discs) Star Trek 3: Search for Spock (2 discs) Star Trek 4: The Voyage Home (2 discs) (one of the best ST films to date!) I also have some DVD that came free with a music purchace, but I haven't bothered even opening the thing My sister has one, and my dad has one I'm getting the extended Two Towers (LOTR) when it comes out in a couple weeks, and I'm also eyeing Pirates of the Carribian when it comes out I have several others on my list of things I would get if I were as rich as Bill Gates or Paul Allen, but since I'm not either, I'll have to do with what I have
I've bought more..... 1/4/2003 - 310 DVDs 4/26/2003 - 403 DVDs 11/5/2003 - 513 DVDs And I did hit 100 DVDs in four months. It still amazes me how many we buy. I wish they would release those british sketch shows over here (big Python fan here, just haven't gotten around to the 14-disk box set). Also the scifi shows i've been hearing about. I think the only scifi import in the US is Dr.Who and one other that I can't remember. I used to watch that every time I had a chance. Anyone know of a nice DVD player that is region free (or can be made that way) that also has component output and either digital/optical audio output or 5.1 (both would be nice)? Also wouldn't mind progressive scan and 3:2 pulldown. Getting married in 10 days and then off to Hawaii! It's gonna rock; so nice and warm out there. Lates, Ryan B. hehe, this thread keeps coming back
Re: I've bought more..... Dude your getting married, congratulations! I only have 41 Newest additions being :: Indiana Jones boxset, The Rock, CSI (Series 1, Part 1), Heat, Matrix Reloaded, Terminator 2 (black tin case)! I love dvd's, even though i only have 41! Oh well! -A-
Thanks for the congrats. Been together for about seven and a half years now. Can't wait for Hawaii either! I would definatly say that my future wife and I have an addiction to movies (see sig). There is very little on TV that we watch, besides stuff like the occasional specials of "Worlds Scariest Police Chases" and interesting stuff like that. We have watched all of our movies and most of them twice. I'm looking forward to getting a disk changer that will hold my entire collection, but that is a bit away right now. I'll get a recent picture of the collection up, possibly tonight. Lates, Ryan B.
