So a guy where I work says he showers once a week. I asked him if he felt dirty etc, and he said no, he uses deodorant. I can't imagine not showering every day, and the only reason I might not, is if I go out and am dog tired by the time i get home, in which case, I'll shower the following evening. So, how often do you shower? (I'm assuming people don't run 'baths' aka scum fest where you bath in your dead skin cells/filth). Discuss. I personally can't stand the feeling of sweaty feet, when your feet have been in socks and shoes all day. I also can't stand the feeling of fury teeth so can't go to bed unless I brush my teeth. Anyone else?
I shower every day I have something to do, maybe at a weekend I'll skip one day, but never more than one day in a row.
In the winter probably 5 days a week on average, other days I'll just wash; in the summertime (when it's hot) or when I'm on holiday, that increases to pretty much every day unless I'm being lazy and just sitting around the house.
Every morning as its the only thing that wakes me up. Jump in when its freeeezing, and then let it warm up. I'll then shower again if im going out. So it usually ends up being about 3 every 2 days.
How dry or humid is it where you live? What time of year are you asking about? I've found humidity makes a HUGE difference. When I first moved from Alberta (very dry) to Pennsylvania (very humid) the humidity was terrible. I felt like I had to shower at least twice a day. I constantly felt sweaty. Two years later when I moved back to Alberta I couldn't shower more than once every three days otherwise my skin got terribly dry, itchy, and painful. Once I adapted I could shower more often but my skin still gets dry and itchy and I don't get sweaty unless I get a good workout - even then the sweat evaporates quickly. Additionally it gets even drier as it gets colder. 90% humidity at -30C is very Very different from 90% at +30C. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Relative_humidity
Usually when it rains........which is quite often. I can't stand the smell of wet hair that hasn't been washed. Other than that normally every other day depending what im doing. If im at home I dont bother but if i walking up and down to uni I would usually shower everyday. I always get too warm walking in a coat or jumper but its usually too cold to take it off so I go for warm and sticky.
Every morning. Being a teller at a bank they usually want you smelling your best. However when I lived in the Philippines I would shower more frequently, as Tyinsar said, humidity is a b****. Anybody shower at night as opposed to the morning? My grandparents thought it was weird that I shower in the morning, as they like to go to sleep clean.
Once a day for classes. Once more in the same day if I am going out. Once every two days if I am just working at home.
Twice a day in the summer, once or twice in the winter. Like the guy above said, the humidity in PA is absolutely terrible haha. I usually work out in some form every day so that's an automatic shower right there. It's also like a 3 minute ordeal so it's not like I'm in there for the heck of it. I also brush my teeth at least 3 times a day, I'm a bit weird about that stuff. When I lived at home, and didn't have to pay for heat (it wasn't freezing) I would usually shower at night and then again in the morning. Definitely have to be 'clean' before heading to bed. I like how this is in the serious forum haha
Everyone can skip a day once in a while but I don't see how one can shower only once or twice a week without being disgusting. I have terrible skin (although it's awesomely better now. You have no idea how good it feels) and skipping a shower or two during the weekend does wonders. I'd never go for longer though.
I'd say 6 times a week. But that includes bathing. I do enjoy bathing on Friday evenings, as it relaxes well. Normally, I shower in the mornings Monday to Thursday, then bathe on Friday evening (work's only half-day on Fridays, and after that I normally spend the day slaving away in the house, shopping, and generally doing stuff that makes me sweat).
