hope my BIP and tdx will do better than 50 idle @ 3.8 to 4.0.

put both sticks in yellow, or both in black.

:grr: now im 3rd place. lol.

An extra 700mhz of clock speed is only 2 seconds quicker for pi calculations???

    Is it really worth it?

700mhz difference? its a 1.86ghz e6300 which was put to 3.15ghz and dropped over 6 seconds. If your asking is it worth it.. then yes.. since overclocking is free.

Yes overclockign is sort of free, other than it costing for a good board, but, then again your shortening the life of the procesor, by overclocking it.

But to be fair, the speed that technology moves forward pretty much outdates components before they reach the end of their life even when being overclocked. You are more likely to be upgrading a part than replacing it due to it dieing, well for me that has been the case anyway.

true it really depends on if your a bleeding edge type or not, most overclockers will be.

If you area home user you might want 8 years life without problems from it

Both good points as well, end of the day its going to be down to the user like you said. For me, the clocks i have put in here are to see what i can get out of the components i have. I run mine now at 2.8ghz as its a happy medium between temperatures, volts and the extra performance i have gained.
