PCWIZKID did some kind of test and opera was the fastest then chrome by a minuscule margin, fire fox was half the speed of chrome and IE9 was about 2/3 of fire fox.

I use two browsers, depending on my needs. Firefox for it's popularity (Lots of really cool addons, decent speed) and Opera. Opera's built-in features are way cooler than anything else out there, and is noticeably faster than Firefox.

Try visiting this page using Chrome, FF and IE9.

Chrome is the most HTML5-compatible browser availaible at the moment.

I too use Chrome. I find it much faster and simple. I love simple things.

I find IE to be the worst though. Too much stuff on it and it's so slow in comparison.

you guys try the 64 bit version if ie?

put the 64 bit flash plugin and it's not bad.. but it does record everything you do in .dat files which need to be cleaned.. still use mainly firefox

Surely For the most part its down to trying each one and getting a personal preference? I've used Opera for ages, its never let me down or not been able to do something I wanted to, so I've not really had the motivation to try anything new, although I've heard lots of good things about Chrome. It's just not had something to jump out and say 'I'm way better than whatever you're currently using'.

For something like this just download the options and use the one you prefer. I have tried most of the options (Fire Fox, Opera, IE8/9 and Chrome) and now have Chrome installed on all of my PC's.

In my opinion Opera is underrated; Firefox is overrated; IE...kill it, and continue flogging; Chrome... WYSIWYG, the simpleton of the group.

Is there really anything useful that Firefox can do and Opera cannot? Everyone seems to love Firefox so much. Opera has everything you need out of the box, I can't fault it.
