Goodness me that site is sparse! I'll try my hand at converting some Sketchup components into Inventor since I have quite a bit of experience in the former and want to improve my skills in the latter. Surprised we don't have any CATIA proponents UIH
CATIA is the leading package for PLM and is used mostly in automotive and aeronautical fields, and after using it you will realise how much more efficient it is compared to Inventor! I'm already getting crashes on Inventor since I'm modelling a motherboard and this PC is deathly slow, but CATIA is capable of avoiding such frustrations.
CATIAs a UNIX Cad package for serious industry, the only time I've run into it was in a company that machined wing ribs for boing 737s out of billet titanium on machines the size of my kitchen. Im not surprised we don't see many users on Bit... Moriquendi
And with a price exceeding twice what you'd pay for SolidWorks or Inventor, that's probably another reason! I've been using it at the place I'm interning at which is why I'm lucky enough to gain experience in it. Anyway, I'm trying to repeat a rectangular pattern for the heatsink in the Asus Maximus 300 (using Scooby's SketchUp version for dimensions) and it's just all going downhill on this PC so hopefully I can get the model up by this weekend if I have the time.
Sounds pretty awesome The DNS issues haven't resolved themselves so I'm gonna have to start working on that one Until then you cane use: http://75.127.97.203/icr/ if you need to access the site.
The DNS issue was resolved, was a bad configuration on my part. How it had been working until last night I don't know :/
I'll aim to finish the motherboard in the next two hours and then onto a graphics card - any preferences?
Unsurprisingly, this PC can't handle some of the features in the motherboard so I can only finish it over the weekend :s I'll just push out a few simpler models for the time being - heatsinks, graphics cards, etc.
Check your junk folder, thats what caught mine. Connec, Im still having problems posting my PCI card collection, has the file been uploaded correctly and theres something wrong with it/missing or has it just not appeared at your end? Moriquendi
It isn't appearing anywhere my end, it's neither been uploaded nor added to the database... is it giving an error message? Or is there any unusual punctuation in the name? Also, I activated you manually, bahgger
I threw up a simple ipt I used as a rough guide to ATX dimensions and it worked fine :/ All I can think is that it might not like the name or something, or the name's already being used.
No error message, ive just tried uploading it with a different name, hopefully that will work. Moriquendi
I added some extra debugging info, so if the component isn't there at the end of the process it send an email with all the information regarding the upload, so just try it again whenever you get a chance and hopefully I'll be able to resolve it from that.
