Is it a FE? if so the case has been designed for it. The air from there gets directed out of a side.

Through perfect timing for me as I've been the other side of the world for the last week and I was half worried it would come earlier...

well i have placed an order for C4, hopefully a water-cooled build for my kids

looking back for a few years i was using shuttle xpcs for gaming 20 years ago very surprised they are not owning the small pc sector these days

Good to see support for the Dan C4, it's a great design that I have been following for years.

I can't remember if Shuttle PCs predate decent ITX motherboards or not.
For a long time they only had low power VIA CPUs, until s775 / Core 2 Duo I think.
So, there wasn't much competition in the SFF space earlier on.
From the Silverstone SG05 onwards, commercial competition took off and made Shuttles less attractive as they were relatively expensive and used a proprietary sized motherboard.

I'm pretty sure Shuttle's real early stuff was entirely proprietary...

Shuttle initially was proprietary. Still have a few cases and mobo somewhere around here.

Iirc they used their own cooling tech too.

Yes, of course, those heatpipe coolers with the fins right at the rear of the case. A clever design.

There's a few Cooler Master MasterCase NC100 - SFF (NUC Compute Module) Case and Power Supply sets on ebay at the moment at £75. I wondered about a case mod to ITX or even STX...

Just seen this mentioned on NFC's yt channel:

Yup, an Ada powered RTX A4000 SFF. Still 70W so no external power required.

I kind of cheated and got an NZXT H1v2, so no modding (or cable management!). Put an Asus B760 in there with an 13500 - was a doddle and sits nicely on my desk.

ATX has always seemed a bit overkill to me, especially now SLI/Crossfire isn't a thing anymore.

It's nice that there are so many familiar names still using these forums - I've barely logged in in a decade.

The H1 is the cheats way to ITX. I know I have one!

Super easy to build but I've found it fairly noisy (v1) when gaming but it could just need a good clean!

Do like the look of the new fractal ITX case but probably do as part of an overall rig upgrade and pass on my build to one of the offspring.

OK, so it sits between the 3060 and 3060Ti, but will outlast them both with it's 20GB VRAM. That price though... Scan list it at £1499, despite the MSRP supposedly being $1250
