The one game I'm waiting for on PS3! Look immense.

Any news of it coming to PC?

I would bet after a period of console exclusivity we will get it. Be a good long wait thought.

Given that there are currently no plans to release Red Dead Redemption for the PC, I'd say plans for LA Noire on PC are equally unlikely. Given the crap and issues surrounding GTA4 for PC, would you really want it?

LA Noire is one of my four must-have titles for this year (Portal, LA Noire, Deus Ex & Batman) - I just hope it's good, because it's a long wait between LA Noire and Deus Ex!

Well if the Guardian review is any indicator it sounds like it's going to be great.

    tl;cr (too late; couldn't read ;)):
LA Noire is the best thing since sliced bread. Acting is excellent, story is excellent, it's all excellent. Go and order it now.

Looking forward to this coming to PC - it's a no brainer after the "meh" that was Mafia 2.
And a good excuse to watch Chinatown, LA Confidential, etc... again, great films.

Hmm, this should be on PC, well I hope so. Red Dead Redemption isn't going to arrive to PC most likely so that isn't exactly the best signs.

GTA IV was fairly horrible to play on the XBox, but Red Dead Redemption was fine - in fact I thought that the game was good enought to warrant buying an Xbox for!

Ditto for LA Noire, it looks epic. I can't wait to play it this weekend. :)

Picking it up today. Will most likely trade Brink in to mitigate the cost. I wasn't too impressed with Brink and LA Noir looks more my style and interest.

Oh, I may just buy a console so I can play this game.

But which one? I've only limited experience of the PS3 and have never played on a 360, although use a USB 360 controller for several of my PC games.

Maybe this alone nudges me towards the 360.

    Any thoughts?

Choose whichever console meets your potential gaming habits. You've already got a 360 controller so an Arcade unit won't set you back much (and start you off with two controllers for local multiplayer games) and if it isn't your primary console I don't see you needing anymore than 4GB of HDD space. My Pre-Order is for the PS3 version (Kind of funny because the Gamestop employee tried convincing me otherwise due to the PSN being offline).

Thanks - sounds like a plan.

Do games play particularly better/worse/smoother/slower on one or the other?

If no difference, then a 360 is on my shopping list.

I have a PS3 and Xbox but if I had to choose I would go for an Xbox first. PS3 has Blu-Ray which is a big plus but overall I prefer the 360.

Games play pretty much the same on both and the 360 controller beats the PS3 hands down IMO.

Base Model 360 is cheaper than the base model PS3 and with Rockstar being the dev the games will run the same on both consoles. If online is your thing then Xbox Live is probably the preferred choice until PSN catches up.

Just beware the costs of all the XBox 360 extras... I have a 360 and its a great console but I've just had to buy a wireless adaptor (wireless is built in on the PS3).. and its £39.99 on Amazon (or £59.99 RRP!). Rip-off. :p

The hard drives are bloody expensive too.

The newer slim 360 models have wireless built in.

I would go PS3 as there are more exclusives. Most xbox games get a PC port.
